Sometimes, you just felt like doing nothing. Just sitting there, worrying about nothing.
I'm in the state. I know I'm procrastinating my works again. But, I just had a Biochem exam last Monday. I took me 2 weeks to prepare and to worry about. So, I just don't doing any work this weekend. But, as some of you know, I have a major paper due next week. Ya, I said I want to start working on it earlier, but somehow I didn't :'(
I think I couldn't think properly after I finished the biochem. The over relaxed state just made me too relax and prompted me into making bad decisions. For example, I agreed to work for 2 more hours per week when the grad student asked to. It's crazy! Before the semester even started, I've decided not to work at all this semester. But now, I'm working again! Sheut! How long I can stand it? Only heaven knows...
Just now, there was a small together. Because of certain reasons, I decided to wear something nice. But then, I couldn't find the cute shirtdress. So, I MOVE all my clothes out of my big trunk, and search, and search and search.... But, I still couldn't it. I was so nervous because I'm almost late. At the end, I took away my bolster from my bed, only to realize that the shirtdress has always been there since I last wore it, like 2 weeks ago :P
(X: Ewwwwww, you're grossed!
Me: No, I'm not! I only wore it to lecture once. So, it's not that dirty. At least, I didn't wear it to my lab, which is full of Salmonella, E.coli, bacillus aureus, stapylococcus... )

movie

Just finished taking the first hourly of Biochem 2. Felt really exhausted.
Haven't have much rest for the past weekend coz today is the dateline for my writing class midterm paper and biochem exams.
Yesterday was the worst day of the semester. I was so stressed out about my paper. I couldn't write anything after writing a page of introduction... I couldn't think of any plan of actions for the problem discussed. I felt my brain was going to burst as I tried so hard to think about the solutions that were never in my head.. I was totally freaked out after spending 6 hours in front of my PC! The feeling for running out of idea is just scary....
I started to give up as the clock stroke 12am. But, the uneasiness for not finishing my work kept haunting me. So, I decided to call my sister asked about her opinion. After a small talk, I decided to continue writing.... I didn't manage to write 5 pages, which was the requirement, at the end though.
But, so be it, it's just a rough draft, I still have 1 week before the final draft is due.
But, this time, I'm going to start my work earlier. Maybe, I should sign up for the tutoring sessions as well!
I'm so hungry.... Time to go home and eat :)

小姐, 你给我blog!
2 days ago, my food analysis lab was cancelled. So, out of boredom (to escape from tonnes of schoolwork, to be exact...), I surfed the youtube as usual. Then, suddenly I found 1 Malay-subtitled Philippine movie - "Got 2 Believe" by Rico Yan and Claudine. If you watched "Mula S Puso" in TV2 before, you might know them coz they're the main actors in the series. So, since I watched "MSP" and I knew them and I used to like Rico Yan, I watched the movie.
It was a romance movie about a girl who dreams of her perfect wedding and a guy who never wants to settle down. Somehow, they hook up and blah, blah, blah.... A typical story la...
But then, when I scrolled down to see the comments from other Youtube viewers, I realized that it was the last movie by Rico Yan. He actually died not long after the movie was filmed... How SAD!!
Rico Yan. He was the main actor in "MSP". That show was actually the first Philippine drama I've ever watched. If I'm not mistaken, it's shown in TV2 while I was in Form 2/3. I love the show a lot and would watch it whenever there were fridays, national holiday, school holidays and sick leaves. What motivated me to watch the show is definitely Rico Yan. Rico acted as Gabriel in the show with Claudine as Via (See, I still could remember the characters' names though it's been 8 years!). He was such a cute, nice and kind-hearted boy in the drama. Gabriel and Via were such an adorable couple too. In fact, they were also a couple in real life when they're filming the show.
It's very heart breaking to know that Rico already left the world... He was only 27 when he passed away, so young... He's in the midst of stardom; others were expecting great shows from him and the "Rico and Claudine" loveteam. But, the incident happened so sudden and it's just devastating to hear the news... Almost the whole nation of Philippine mourned for his death...
So, really, we've to appreciate our lives. You never know what will happen tomorrow. What we can do or should do is to cherish single day of our lives
Sorry, this isn't any happy post. Bare with me, I just felt sad for Rico and need a place to shout out my emotion.
R.I.P, Rico Yan!

小姐,真的不blog了吗?
最近,网路空间还蛮平静的.
Blog的人还真寥寥无几, 好无聊o!
Today, I made a special dish for my dinner -- fried squid!
A simple yet yummy one :)
First, clean up the squids (they smell bad....), and cut them into ring O O O
Then, add some corn flour to absorb excessive water ~~~
Lastly, some salt and pepper. Mix well.
Heat ~3 tablespoons of oil. Put in the well dried squids, stir fry them for few minutes and let them cook by themselves for another ~20 minutes. WALA! You got a plate of crispy (outside) and tender (inside) squids :)
Yummy! Yummy! Squids-lover, try it~
p/s: you can also try it on other kinds of meat (i borrowed the recipe from a chicken recipe =)

I remembered reading an article about a boy chasing horizon during my secondary school year.
I found it very meaningful and would like to share it with you guys.. (if you're in the same Chinese tuition class with me, you knew the story)
A boy attempted to reach the horizon, so he asked,"Where is the horizon?"
An old man answered,"It's at the end of paddy field." So, he ran towards it.
By the time he reached the indicated place, he realized it is not the horizon.
The horizon seemed to have move further away.
So, he asked someone, "Where is the horizon?".
A farmer said, "You'll find it after you cross the jungle".
The boy ran and ran.
Finally, he was at the other side of the jungle.
Oh no, the horizon ran away again...
This time it was behind the mountain!
Was the boy going to climb the mountain? Was he able to reach the horizon?
The boy's quest might seemed silly. From the scientific point of view, the earth is round, so no one will ever reach the so called horizon....
But, in the essay, the horizon is actually a metaphor of our dreams and hopes. It is not coming to any end.... Once you attain a dream, you'll definitely hope for something else. I'm not saying that dream makes one greedy. But, a positive dream is indeed a drive for one to live on!
So, dream! Try your best to achieve it!
Don't be sad if you fail because another HORIZON is always waiting for you :)

:)
No matter you're single, in a relationship, just broke up, wish you all a belated Happy Valentine's Day! It's a day about love, and everyone definitely deserves to be loved :)
I'm as busy as usual. Have been studied (+ sleeping) in the campus center since afternoon. I have an exam next week. I'm not that worried about it coz it's just a politics class, but I'm really nervous about the biochem exam the week after that... So many material to study yet so little time to do... Besides, my paper for the writing class will be due in 2 weeks. I haven't even research on my topic.... How r??? Who asked me to take 6 classes this sem? ge gao, want to enjoy your senior year!
But, Shi Gu and Shi Po said they're going to hold a tea party in Rutgers at 27th Feb, after my biochem exam.... really look forward for it :)
And not to forget my spring break! 1 month to go! Yeah!! Where should I go this time? I'm not going to stay in Rutgers! No way! Should take the train down the east coast, maybe to South Carolina?? Seemed fun but not really safe.... But, first, have to get my canada Visa done during the break, then I can visit Canada right after the sem is over. Huhu!!
看开点, 人也轻松点!
想一想, 人生八十年, 大学四年, 1/20 的人生, 有什么大不了?
考差了, 又不是世界末日
更何况, 人生是我的, 不是教授的 :P

13C
the weather is 13C out there.
Spring is coming! yeah!
Wanna go out and have fun...
It's definitely a nice day for shopping in NYC or maybe at Menlo Park..
Watching a movie will be good as well....
Or just simply enjoying a cup of coffee at the street
Ah, so much fun things to do at such a wonderful day!
Yet, I still have 3 lab reports and 1 paper to write....
I'm definitely crazy for taking so many classes during the spring :(
Where to go for Spring break? Any suggestions?
Take Amtrak down to North Carolina? Visiting friends in Midwest? Going to Boston again? :P
My spring break is around 3/15. 1 month plus to go!!!

Living in a refrigerator
It snows again today from this morning til now (10.30pm). The weather was so nice yesterday, making me think that it wasn't going to snow anymore and the beautiful spring was finally here.
No one has expected the snow really, this heavy snow. The height of the snow out there is around 2 inches and it's darn freezing!
The white and snowy campus was very beautiful tonite. But, I left my camera at home, so I couldn't take any pictures of the beautiful scene. Hopefully, the snow is still there tomorrow :)
I have been watching some old movies these few days. I'm too lazy to do my homework and to study. Guess what I have watched? It's <> by Mirriam Yeung and Daniel Wu. I watched both Part 1 and 2. They are so funny!! :D
The is another movie by them called <<千杯不醉>>. Will watch it later after I finished my lab reports (I have 3 lab reports due this week and a paper as well -- sometimes I just hate school...)
I miss school break so much.... I wanna watch all great and funny movies..

2nd weekend
Though CNY was a week ago, I just started (and ended) the celebration yesterday.
Like last year, I went to Tzu Chi NJ headquarters for the celebration cum praying sessions.
But, this time I didn't watch the performance because my friend and I went for babysitting.
It's kind of weird because it is very hard for me to get along with kids. I just don't have patience for them. But, luckily, the kids there were not that naughty. We spent most of the time making pretty bookmarks with word of wisdom from the Master on it.
The event ended around 3.30pm. At first, I planned to go home around 4.30pm so that I wouldn't miss the steamboat dinner with other Malaysian students in Rutgers. But, there were a lot of cleaning up to do at the end of the show. So, I decided to stay a bit longer to help out. I'm so sorry for being late to the dinner! :S
At last, we left at 6.00pm and reached home at 7pm. Luckily, I was just in time for the steamboat, though I missed the "lo yee shang" part :) It's the 2nd time we had CNY steamboat dinner at Rutgers. Compared to last year, we have more Rutgers students since 9 Malaysians decided to study here :D We've 3 types of seamboats ~ chicken soup, tomyam soup and herbal soup, and plenty of food. The next few hours were the chatting and eating time, definitely a lot of eating...
I think the highlight of the night was the game time! We played the super idiotic "Hilarium" game after spending hours (just an exaggeration :P) to figure out how to play the game. Then, we played "Mafia". The first round was kind of long and boring because I got killed 2nd in the game (No offense!). But I enjoyed the second round very much because I got to "kill" people :P The game ended great with the survival of all 4 lady mafias!
The gathering ended at 1am when everyone was exhausted. It's definitely a long night for me coz
I slept round 11-12am these few days. But, I must say that night is definitely a memorable one where all the Malaysians gathered together for such a wonderful festival. Not to forget, this might be the last gathering we had Cindy and Yati with us since they're graduating in May.... :'(
*On the journey back to my home, I had a serious conversation with a Shi Jie. She said when we hold sth way to hard, we might end up losing it. The word of wisdom really fits into my current situation. I realize that recently, I'm so obssesseed with something I might not hope for the first place. But, fake hopes seemed to intrigue me into getting it. Should I continue my quest or give up?
