Dust of old memories

So, I always received friendster email in the mailbox. Usually, I delete them right away, but just now, I 心血来潮 decided to log in my frienster account. It's been abadoned since 2008, since FB "took over the world". Suddenly, I remembered I used to have a blog in friendster, in fact it is my 1st blog before I moved to blogger. So, I went ahead and accessed the long abandoned space and read several posts (actually more than 10)....

Well, what can I say... Reading the old blog is like time traveling back to the good old days..
like the days when I was in INTEC, the day I took SAT & TOEFL, the day I made my decision to pick Rutgers and wondered if I made the best choice, the day I stepped on the land of America for the first time, the day I thought I adapted to life there or maybe not, the first day of my sophomore year, the first day of my junior year... There goes 5 years of my lifes..Time does pass without yourrealizing it..

I used to think I was not that naive. But, I realized from the posts I was not that smart either.. I did think silly stuffs, made stupid decision, and cared too much about tiny things. Still, I'm still the same now..

I know it's kinda silly to look back of things that happened 5 years back. We should live in present and look ahead at the future and never look back as advised by Katy Perry. But, looking back at the past not only revive the good memory but it also reminded me of the life experience that shape who I am now and hopefully guide me in the future! :)

This..

This... will pass too.

Working on my presentation tomorrow n studying for physical chem midterm this Friday. There are so much to do besides these, project abstract for food engineering class n research proposal for lipid course. Not to mention works in the lab too.

There are so much on the plates now that I felt I can't hold on anymore.

But, suddenly, the phrase, "This will pass too," came across my mind. I forget from where I heard about this phrase. But, it's so true. Nothing really stays. Obstacles after obstacles. If u don't pass them, they will pass you. Why cling on so hard? Just do the best and all things will fall into right places. Although, that will pass too..

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Here is an early greeting to everyone celebrating the holiday!

I just realized I haven't posted anything since 1 month and a half ago... I did write something but didn't feel posting it somestimes...

This is the 2nd week of my winter break. I spent my 1st week doing rotation. Now that I'm done, I just stay at home doing nothing. Well, I love break, but, this time, not anymore. It's just weird to have 3 weeks of holiday, when you know your peers are out there doing something for their livings and you're here doing nothing....

My 1st quarter was going ok so far. Courseworks were harder, but with the help of my fellow classmates, I still managed to pull everything together. But, research is not that good. I have been facing a lot of difficulties in finding the right research lab and professors. Well, I don't feel like talking about that here. But, I will still try my best next quarter and keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully, everything is fine, would be...

Happy holidays and see you all soon :)

Hi there!

Hello!

So, I'm back after 4-month hiatus. Did u miss me?

I had a laidback holiday back home, chilling and relaxing for almost one third of a year. It would be my last long holiday in my study life, I considered. I went to Taiwan for Tzu Ching camp and sightseeing, visited Genting casinos, shopped at Bangkok Platinum Mall, had Ipoh taugeh chicken, visited relatives, played with my cousins, traveled around KL, watched a couple of TVB drama (actually, is a lot!) etc. etc...

So, I'm now stepping into another stage of my life --> graduate school.

I was back in the States 4 days ago. The first few days were terrible. You can't imagine how homesick u'll get after being home for so long and coming to a whole new environment with nothing, no one, no place you are familiar with... It's terribly daunting and scary!

But, I kinda settling down now after going to the grad school orientation and meeting new ppl. Knowing that there are people in the same boat as me definitely calmed me down. Besides, I ain't have nobody with me. There are friends in the States who is always be with me though we're far away. Afterall, a call to Malaysia is just a couple second away! So, I guess I better get myself out of this and be more prepared for whatever is coming for me for the next few years! I shall be resposible for decision I made whether it might or might not be the best for me and ppl around me, right? This is life, and I shall not keep poundering on the road not taken.

Till then.
