Hi, there. Again.
I know I just updated my post yesterday. But, I'm bored. Just too bored. And, I don't wanna do my homework....
It's already 6pm. Yet, the day is still so bright.
It was raining this afternoon + evening. So, it's quite cold now.
It hasn't been raining for a while coz it usually snowed. The shower during the evening made me think of the weather in Malaysia. Remember, it is not unusual to rain in the evening back at home. What they called the rain?? We learned about it in Geography, but, I just couldn't remember. After all, it has been 8 years since I learned it. I miss home~~
I woke up at 1pm today. It's late, I know. I haven't woken up that late since the beginning of this semester. Am I trying to be a good kid? :) ok, I'm not. The truth is I have classes at 9.15am almost everyday. And, on Saurdays, I have to wake up early for practice while Sundays are the days when I have to cram all my homeworks. So, I didn't have any chances to sleep late.
Talking about classes... Remember I was quite nervous at the beginning of the semester because of the 6 classes that I had to take. It's not all that bad. So far so good is what I can say. I found myself spending less time watching Taiwanese drama :) Maybe, it's a good things.
Ya, yesterday, we had a sushi night at the girls' house. We made lotzzz of sushi - salmon, egg, crabsticks. Yummy! Yummy!! We thought we're going to finish all the sushi because we have so many people. But, at the end, everyone is so full after eating few pieces :) Ha, it's so funny!
Ah, I have nothing to write anymore. Maybe, I should start working on my essay and reports if I really wanna go to NYC tomorrow.
Till then,

spring break update!!
Hi everyone!
Today is the fifth day of the break.
Though at first, I thought I won't have any entertainment for the holiday, I guess I was wrong.
I've been doing stuffs and traveling since the start of the break.
On Saturday, I went for the Kendo practice coz I thought K would be there too. Ah, I was wrong again :( But, it was a fun practice because after the practice, we went to Mitsuwa, a Japanese supermarket at North Jersey (Edgewater) for lunch. We also did some grocery shopping. I bought some yakitori (octopus ball). Yummy! It's the first time we hanged out with sensei, the Kendo teacher. It's fun coz we (sensei n club members) got a chance to interact and knew each other better... We ended spending 5 hours there. I went home at 8pm, totally exhausted. Yet, still very contented :) Later that nite, when I was about to sleep at 12am, the girls (juniors) called. All the girl seniors were hanging out at their house. Since I'm bored, I decided to sleep over there and had some pillow talk with the girls. We watched "Constantine" til 1.30pm, I chatted with my senior till 3.30am :D
The next day, my senior and I visited Princeton coz michael said he's driving. We walked around the campus and took lotz of pictures :) I really like the campus because all the buildings was so antique. Everything was so 17th century European-feel. Oh, it made me feel like I was a princess in a Fairy tale :) Day dreaming~~~~ That's why people said prince and princess go to princeton!
On Monday, we went to Philadelphia for a historical tour. We just came back yesterday nite. Will update about it later coz I want to dedicate one whole post for the trip :)
The weather is getting warmer this day. I can't wait for the days where I can't wear shorts. I miss the warm sun!
Yesterday, I got an email for the internship I applied to. It's bad news. I didn't get it. It's so sad.... I really wanted it so much. But, what to do... I just have to accept their decisions. Now what for summer? Rutgers? OSU? Malaysia? I totally have NO IDEA!!
Will think about it later; I just wanna enjoy my break to the fullest.
Ah, I can't wait for my NYC shopping trip on Friday, and the Korean food :)
Maybe we'll go for Kimchi fried rice or Tofu house. Yummy! Yummy!
Til then.

Spring break
So, my spring break officially started this afternoon.
Yet, I still didn't have any plan for the break yet.
I was thinking of going to Michigan. But, the train tix is just too expensive - $200++
That's why I have to cancel the trip :'[
This afternoon, I spent 3 hours in the lab. I never stayed more than 2 hours in the lab. But, today, I just didn't wanna go home coz I had no place to go. So sad... After all the work was done, I really had to go. So, I went home, had a simple lunch, and watched a few episodes of a Korean drama. Then, I went to gym for some workouts. Huh, I've never stepped into the recreation center since the beginning of sem. Too busy? Too lazy? While running on the treadmill for 30 minutes, I watched a travel program about Disneyworld. The place is so nice. Ah, I missed Disneyland so much :( Maybe, maybe, we should go to Disneyworld this coming winter break. GIRLS, let's go to Florida! After the tiring workouts, I went for a swim. Hu~~~ I just love swimming :o)
So far, nothing is planned yet for spring break. Maybe, I guess, some juniors and I will go for a short excursion to Philadelphia, the historical town in the States. It's a nice place to go since I'm taking American Gov this semester. I can visit the place where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776/1778 (not sure??) How cool is that? :P
Since I have some spare time now, maybe I should get my visa done if I'm serious about going to Canada this summer. Never do things last minutes, right? I can go to NYC on the St. Patrick's Day and watch the Irish "green" parade. Too bad, I'm not of legal age to drink any Irish Beer.. Ow! Hopefully, next year :)
Ok, I should get some sleep now. It's getting late (1.30pm d), and I have a Kendo practice tomorrow. We're doing formation tomorrow so that seniors who are going for testing soon can get some training. Huh, hopefully, teacher is going to teach us the 3rd level of formation! It seemed so cool :)
Till then, nite.

~i overslept
it's all day light saving's fault!
i set the alarm to 8am, but i switched it off unconsciously
then, i woke up, it's already 11am.
If there was no day light saving, it would be 10am.
So, I was so late to work.
I was supposed to be there at 10.30am.
I have never been late since the beginning of semester.
I rushed to the lab, without eating any breakfast.
Ok, I had a granola bar on the way, but, I was so hungry.....
I felt so tired after having a terrible morning ~~~
I couldn't concentrate while studying for my exam after that...
In conclusion, I hate day light saving!
Just hate it!

Me luv bubble tea~~~
Hello, everyone! How are you guys?
I felt very happy every time after kendo practice. It's the "Happy" hormone, I guess :)
Anyway, I heard many funny jokes somehow today... Make me even happier...
Someone said these in a seminar,
~Human prays. But, I know my dog doesn't.
~The squirrels at the backyards don't know when they will get their next nut, but, they won't hire Mexican Chipmunks to collect them.
Hahahahaha!!!! I can't stop laughing after listening to the 2nd joke. It's hella funny :D
So ironic yet so true :)
In Malaysia, you can change it to:
The squirrels at the backyards don't know when they will get their next nut, but, they won't hire Bangladesh/Indon Chipmunks to collect them.
Hahahahahaha, still that funny! I'm evil, I know ~~~
Actuallty, both jokes came from a speaker in a seminar. I was too tired of studying today that I went to a seminar this evening. The seminar was held in conjunction with Darwin's 200th anniversary and "Origin of Life's" 150th anniversary. I guess this is the last talk for the whole Darwin's celebration. Luckily, I'm just in time to catch the last train.
I was reading a paper outside the hall, and M passed by. And ya, I managed to ask her to join me :)
It's been a while since we did things tomorrow. We used to go eat together, went to concert together, attend talks together, join club together, and even have fun in NYC together last year. What a memorable good old day, how I wish we can do the same thing over again :)
M is a girl I met in my Music class. She is an international student just like me. She is from a small country at South America called Suriname, a small country that you probably never heard of just like Malaysia to some people. Ya, we're Chinese, a non majority race in our motherlands. She knew a bit of Malay food/culture coz there are Indon Malay in her country. She knew what "roti" is coz the major race in her country is Indian. The coolest part is we both speak Hakka! How cool is that! (Though she said she couldn't understand mine (=.=lll)
Sorry for the digression. So, the talk was titled, "The Earth will survive for another 2 mil years, will we?" or something like that.... It's about how fundamental essential genes or "nanomachine" such as chloroplasts are conserved, and how we, the human, destroy the Earth through speech evolution. I just learned about photosynthesis at biochem this evening, so it's kind of cool listening about photosynthesis from evolutionary point of view.
The conclusion I got is that the Earth will survive for another millions of year until the sun dies off. The microbes will survive all the destruction by humans since they have survived the ice age, volcanic eruption etc. But, for humans, sorry about that, if we continue to drill all the oil, create more carbon footprint, we'll not only kill other plants or animals, but we'll end up terminating ourselves faster than backgraound extinction..." Cruel but true!
The talk and the speaker were both interesting. I like the way he presented the materials with all the fact and graphics, and also the JOKES! They made me laugh like a mad person :P
The seminar was so interesting that I ran late to my Kendo pratice. I went there at 9pm though the practice started at 8.30pm. Luckily, I only missed few set of Kendo no Kata. I'm glad that I went to the practice coz it's the last pratice before the break. It's tiring as usual but it's rewarding. I felt myself is doing better in this practice. And, Sensei said I can get the Bogu set! ;)
Before we dismissed, we had a small discussion about the tournament yesterday. Ya, we had a kendo tournament in Rutgers University. Kendoka from Northeastern US such as Boston U, Yale, Cornell, DC and NY came over to compete. It's fun to see people testing and competing. Hopefully, I'll able to test in the next tournament! Have to work really hard and brush up my skills! Jia you!
And, I talked with him after the practice. Finally~~~~ @-@ Yes! So happy!

..?..
So, I got the bonus holiday... Guess what? I did nothing much, as usual.
I woke up at 11am though I set my alarm clock to 9am. Ya, I did that often, if not every single day. The first thing I did after that was logging in to the net. I checked my 3 mailboxes over and over again, searched for useless information on the net and watched some nonsense video before I started working on my almost-done food analysis lab report.
After that, I balanced my account book since today is March 2nd. Gosh, I think I overspent again @@ Maybe I should cut down the expense for coffee and hot cocoa... Or, should I stop having breakfast at student center? But, I'll miss my bagel and cream cheese so much!
As I have been carving for green tea slush for a long time, I decided to have lunch+dinner at the Noodle Gourmet and got the bubble tea :) Me loves Bubble tea!
I should be going to the library to study after eating. But, I went to do grocery instead. I needed food! By the time I got home, it was already 6.30pm. Thinking that I'll have more time to study later, I surfed the net again for some useless information and a full hour there :'(
Maybe, deep in heart, I just didn't wanna study on the bonus holiday. So, I ended up cleaning up my room, rearranged my closet, and refolded all my clothes for the past 3 hours.
Ok. Get to go. It's already 12am. Maybe I should start analyzing some data for my lab report, after all, it's no longer Monday anymore....
Till then :S

Snow day
New Jersey is expecting a significant snowstorm late tonight and Monday. As a result of this forecast:
- Daytime and evening classes on the New Brunswick and Piscataway Campuses are canceled for Monday, March 2, 2009.
HOORAY! HOORAY! HOORAY!!!
No class! No class!!
No biochem :)
(fyi, this rare event only occurs only a year)
Wait... how about my conference for writing class? and the review section for mol gen lab @@
Sheeeuuuutttt! How r??? DIE.
But, I am indeed grateful for the break because I haven't gotten any good rest this weekend.
Last Friday, I have to attend a Shinai maintenance "party" with the Kendo club. We should go for dinner after the maintenance section (the cute K guy was there). Unfortunately, I have to leave early for another meeting. So sad....
Then, yesterday, I went for a full section of Kendo practice, from 10-2.30pm. After the practice, we went out for a lunch with our teacher, which took about 2 hours. So, basically I didn't study at all the whole day :'(
Today, I volunteered at the Special Friend's Day. At first, I planned to stay for an hour. But then, considering the fact that it was so easy to earn my volunteer hours, I decided to stay for another hour. After that.....
It's time to face all the consequences. I was forced to stay at the Cook Campus Center and Chang Library for 5 hours to finish up my mid term paper... Yet, I still didn't finish it after the 5-hour cramming section. It seems that I have to burn midnight oil tonight to get it done..
In conclusion, I really need the day-off :)
Thank God for snowing! O O O
